Fishing Charters
The tropical waters surrounding Bedarra are teeming with a variety of marine life.
Fishing opportunities abound with the options of either island, reef or estuary fishing experiences. Half or full day charters are available with a variety of species targetted including reef, pelagic or sport fish.
A number of experienced fishing guides operate in the local area, all available for private charters departing directly from Bedarra.
The Bedarra chefs provide catering for all fishing charters, and they can also freshly prepare your catch for dinner for you upon your return!
Hooked Up Fishing
Owner/Skipper Gerard has been fishing the waters around Mission Beach his entire life, and has a unrivalled local knowledge of the area.
Offering the alternatives of either offshore reef fishing, estuary fishing or nearby island fishing, the team will target locations such as reef edges, flats, wrecks and rubble beds to ensure a catch of reef fish, or open water for pelagic species such as Spanish Mackeral.
All equipment is provided and no experience is required, as the crew will show you all the tips needed to get “Hooked Up”.
Charters are undertaken in a 26ft custom Sportfisher, the "Spirit of Dunk". Equipped with the latest electronics, including a dynamic positioning system, the comfortable vessel will ensure you bring home a catch!
